Hi. My name is Elle and I am simultaneously the most boring person alive and the most interesting, a contradiction I am constantly fighting in my head.
Boring
- I'm an elementary school secretary, a homebody, and an introvert night owl living in an extrovert early bird world.
- I like simple things like autumn leaves and singing in the car.
- I'm a reader who doesn't read enough, and a writer who doesn't write enough.
- I cannot handle historical war movies because the violence is too close to reality for me.
- I often times feel like my life is boring and no one would find it interested, and I am humble to the point of it being a weakness where I find it uncomfortable to tell people cool things about myself.
Interesting
- I have never lived in any house/apartment/dorm/barracks longer than five years.
- I've lived on both US coasts as well as the intermountain west, midwest, and overseas in South Korean.
- I was homeschooled until I was halfway through junior year, and then later in life did 7 straight years of university and have three degrees in English and Creative Writing.
- I have worked in food service, RV sales and service, military intelligence, hospitality, childcare, higher education, and now clerical and administration.
- I didn't have to get my wisdom teeth removed because I never had any (how many people can say that?).
- I speak English natively, Korean conversationally, and I'm working on learning Mandarin and Norwegian.
- My hobbies include writing fantasy (and scifi and horror infrequently), playing DnD and Pathfinder, painting Warhammer 40k minis, watching Korean and Chinese dramas, and daydreaming about being a historical cosplayer.
I started this blog to house my thoughts on things that catch my attention. Beautiful lines of prose or poetry, interesting thoughts or words, hard-hitting storylines, compelling scenery, and whatever else strikes my fancy. Hopefully something will inspire you, dear reader.
